State of Tollways Recap

Thank You

We were honored to host Judge Matt Sebesta, Roberto Trevino and Varuna Singh as guest speakers last month as we discussed the State of Tollways. For those of you who missed the conversation, here is a brief recap, courtesy of Donna Adams, Adkins.

-We need to have the option of toll roads in our tool box

-We need safe access and linkages for bikers and pedestrians.
-Moving primacy for some sections of Grand Parkway over to TxDOT means preliminary design can begin soon.
-Toll and managed lanes, appropriately used, are an alternative to efficiently address congestion with the growth in the region.
-Options may exist to mix transit with tollways.
-Added benefits include addressing drainage, improving safety, and rejuvenating communities.
